Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born January 31, 1974. Her most well-known role is for her role as Bo on the Showcase Television show Lost Girl. Silk is an actress from Canada who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. She is the daughter of Peter who is a professor, and Ilkay Silk, a prominent performer, actress, and playwright as well as Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is able to recall her first experiences as being at play rehearsals with her mother. Silk was featured in many commercials as a young child. She received a Bachelor's of Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two early shows: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk was able to move from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. She met her future husband, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's training located in Los Angeles in 2007. In 2009, the couple were married in a civil ceremony in December of 2009. The couple got married in Fredericton on the 10th of April in the couple renewed their vows following her decision to convert to Judaism. Silk got a baby who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13, 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second son was born in the month of May in 2016. Silk was also nominated in 2009 for Gemini Awards in her role as Cassidy Holland. In 2009, she got the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk revealed to fans the good news that she had become pregnant on the set of Season 3 during an exclusive pre-show for Season Three. This was broadcasted by Showcase during a special Season Three show held January 6, 2013, prior to the show's premiere. Silk was working on Lost Girl since the third season finale episode was conceived on January 6 2013. She announced via Twitter her readiness to return on the 4th of June 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production on fourth season. CNN named Bo's portrayal alongside Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most watched TV couples ever. E! voted it as top TV couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to a large online audience through social networks.
